J.A. “Tony” Reyna | Managing Partner

Tony has more than 25 years of experience improving quality and efficiency of the people, process and technology that support the delivery of revenue cycle services. Since Tony founded Texican in 1991, he has prided himself on the ability to hire and lead people, in his own likeness, who are “the key ingredient for successful client engagements”. Over the years, Texican has evolved from a small firm delivering cash acceleration and interim management services to a full service consulting group, leading fully integrated health systems through the minefields of competition and reform.

In addition to leading Texican’s Consulting Practice, Tony is guiding the firm through the development of proprietary RCM software applications, that once implemented will provide a positive, disruptive change to the revenue cycle process, and eliminate many of the antiquated procedures that constrain healthcare practices in today’s marketplace. Tony received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management from Texas A&M.

In his leisure, Tony enjoys fishing and traveling.

Gary Sexton | Senior Analyst

Gary Sexton is a Senior Analyst in Texican’s Healthcare Consulting practice. Gary develops and delivers business analytics and provides intelligence that is specific to client engagements and key to identifying issues and opportunities impacting the revenue cycle.

Gary brings nearly 40 years of experience in the healthcare industry to his role. His background includes the development of numerous technology products designed to focus and direct collections, pre-registration, and various quality assurance and auditing activities. During his time with Texican, he has worked with data from over 40 different hospitals throughout the United States. Gary received a Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University.

In his leisure time, Gary enjoys reading and family time with his wife and kids.

Maureen Callahan | Senior Manager

Maureen Callahan is a Senior Manager in Texican’s Healthcare Consulting practice. Her primary responsibilities include training and mentoring revenue cycle management and staff, and leading cash and revenue improvement initiatives.  Maureen’s extensive knowledge of account workflows allows her to maximize staff efficiencies, processes, and technologies. With more than 25 years of revenue cycle experience, Maureen has managed projects for Texican with nationally recognized academic facilities, integrated health systems and large practice management groups. Her expertise covers every facet of the revenue cycle, as well as its impact on clinical and financial departments.
In her leisure time, Maureen is an avid reader and enjoys time on the beach and body surfing.

Patrick Fullenwider | Senior Manager

Patrick is a Senior Manager in Texican’s Healthcare Consulting Practice. He has over 25 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations. During that time, he has gained significant experience directing independent hospitals, large CBOs and practice management operations. He has led numerous CBO and patient access IT installations on platforms such as EPIC, Siemens, and McKesson. Patrick has directed CBO operations with annual net revenues of over $1B. Under his leadership, these operations have improved cash flow and net revenues by automating account work-flow, delivering focused training programs, and leveraging technology resources. Patrick’s consulting and health system background allows him to effectively communicate with both line staff and c-suite executives. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management from Jacksonville University.

Vee Landry | Senior Manager

Vee Landry is a Senior Manager in Texican’s Healthcare Consulting practice. Her primary responsibilities include interim revenue cycle leadership for hospitals and practice management groups. She has continuously demonstrated expertise in project management, cash application, billing and collection follow-up. She has over 25 years of management consulting and leadership experience. Vee leads projects for Texican clients resulting in streamlined workflow, improved key process metrics, increased cash flow, and reduced labor costs.

Prior to joining Texican, Vee served in a variety of revenue cycle leadership positions in both the practice management and hospital environments, including staff training for a national urgent care group.

In her leisure time, Vee is a huge LSU Tigers supporter and enjoys arts and crafts projects.
