This position is primarily responsible for developing, modifying, and maintaining Cerner CCL reports and data extracts. The analyst should be proficient in the review and improvements of all aspects of the Revenue Cycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for data improvement and standardization of processes impacting data integrity across organization.
  • Coordinate with team members and help to gather data to customize reports and make recommendations related to best practices.
  • Works with project lead, business users and analysts to gather requirements, conduct design sessions and prepare specifications.
  • Translates project requirements into functional and technical specifications for reports, dashboards, and analytical applications.
  • Analyze raw data to identify problems and assess data integration feasibility.
  • Identify gaps in data and performing data normalization.
  • Ensure timely generation of the production suite of reports that are based on complete and accurate data. As owner, respond to all questions that arise.
  • Create, monitor and providing ongoing communication to stakeholders, and report any risk areas to address concerns.
  • Serve as a Cerner subject matter expert, facilitating raw data interpretation from Cerner EHR.
  • Identify and communicate operational impact of analytical findings/decision support.
  • Demonstrates the ability to set goals and adhere to strict deadlines.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Cerner CCL programming tools, data model, reporting, and architecture skills.
  • Masters’ degree with a strong quantitative/analytical emphasis preferred.
  • Strategic thinking, planning, project management capabilities; organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong database software proficiency with experience using SAS, SQL and other relational database tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven record of translating business problems into analytical processes.
  • Enthusiasm and motivation essential; a confident change-agent; strong advocacy and presentation skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to mentor and manage associates in data manipulation methodologies.
  • Prior experience in health solutions industry, particularly in provider performance analysis, medical claims, or episodes of care.
  • Experience using BI Tools such as QlikView or Tableau to design and create reporting dashboards and portals is desirable.
  • A minimum of 25% travel required.
